What do you think an iCar will look like?

Apple has been leading the way towards a renewable energy future for many years. Just last week the company announced it will partner with First Solar to build a 280-megawatt solar energy farm in Monterey, California. With Tesla moving beyond the auto industry into renewable energy generation in its partnership with SolarCity, it’s not surprising that Apple is branching out, too.

  1. I’m looking forward to the time when we don’t refer to cars as ‘electric’ because they will all be electric. Well, it might not be in my lifetime, but I believe it will happen. So many car companies are building a line of electric cars. Batteries are evolving and charging stations being built so we won’t be getting range anxiety. Just yesterday I saw my first Tesla getting charged at a big box discount store. Awesome!!!

    1. Not just the electric car, but alternative energy usage like wind and solar. I look forward to the day where an electric car can go almost unlimited mileage due to the solar recharge system built into the car or even as technology gets better the entire paint job could be a solar generator!
