As with most things in life, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Therefore, I began researching making my own soap by reading online about what others are doing. Since I love foaming hand soaps, I decided to go that route. What I did was buy a bunch of foaming hand soaps from Bath & Body Works in scents that I like. Not wanting to waste soap that I bought, we used the soaps until they were empty. It was really hard to wait that couple months until we could actually try making our own! While waiting, I bought some Dr. Bronner’s unscented soap online, and some tiny jars of essential oils. I didn’t want to start with the big jars in case I didn’t like the way they smelled, but I needn’t have worried because I love them!

Here is my simple procedure:
